It was an absolute pleasure to be part of the first Soothe Your Soul Haysboro market. It was amazing how much was packed into the day. From kid-friendly projects to lectures on health and wellness (and more!), there was something for everyone. I was delighted to bring out the candle making gear for the first time this year.
As the pre-event features were coming out, the chocolate vendor caught my eye (shocking right?). I was delighted to be across the aisle from ShawZ Chocolate on market day! Ian makes his chocolate from scratch with goat milk.
I had the pleasure of trying out the dark chocolate and white chocolate. The white chocolate has cocoa nibs giving it a bit of a cookies and cream bent. I love cocoa nibs, but I’m not a big fan of white chocolate. I tried it out and was pleasantly surprised although the dark chocolate was definitely the winner for me. However, Ian had two more goodies on the table – organic mangos dipped in dark chocolate and coconut butter cups.
I snagged one of each to take home for later (plus a dark chocolate bar). They are long gone now, but I have to say they were definitely worth it!
Huge thanks to Lisa for organizing the event and all of the volunteers who made it happen. Thanks also to the lovely vendors who showcased their beautiful work. Finally, thank you to everyone who came out to shop and support the Haysboro Elementary School.
