Let’s put this out there – I love outdoor markets. When the weather is bad, however, they can be a nightmare! Setting up for last weekend’s Inglewood Night Market was a bit of a challenge with the gusting winds. Putting up a tent and putting a tablecloth on a table is quite interesting when the wind isn’t behaving 🙂 Picture this: tents trying to fly away and tablecloths blowing away as one tries to get weights on them. I’m sure the process was very amusing for anyone watching. I am delighted to say the wind finally did calm down and we had quite a pleasant evening!
I was delighted to have Steph from Hillcrest Naturals along for another evening. We hadn’t seen each other in awhile. It was a pleasure to reconnect!
While we were waiting hopefully for the wind to die down, I chatted a bit with Denise. She is the talent behind Hofer Handmade. Once we were set up, I headed over to take a look at what she creates. Denise makes beautiful necklaces and bracelets for men and women alike.
I asked her to share her favourite pieces with me and she pointed out this tray of gorgeous bracelets. It took a bit of patience to get this shot when her sign wasn’t casting a shadow.
There were a ton of fantastic vendors, great entertainment, and lots of food trucks. Huge thanks to everyone who came out to the market. It’s a great way to spend an evening. Thank you also to Hofer Handmade for being an awesome booth neighbour, Hillcrest Naturals for sharing our space, and the organizers for putting on such a fun event. I’m already looking forward to July’s night market!
